Angst!

laughing at everyone complaining about not being able to get SBL when I’m in the UK still bitter about the fact that the S4 songs aren’t even available on itunes yet.

It is now canon that for whatever reason Blaine spent Christmas away from his family.

Of course it is possible that his parents are wonderful and supporting and let him go, not minding being apart from their son at this time of year so he can spend it with another family including a boy he is no longer dating. Although this is a father who Blaine believes (so even if his father is misunderstood he has obviously done things to give Blaine this belief) to have only wanted to build a car with him because he thinks his dad believed “getting my hands dirty might make me straight.” …

So there are countless possibilities including 3 very summed up ones…

1. Blaine doesn’t want to spend time with his parents and left either on the back of an argument, without their permission or with a ‘just get the hell out’ kind of blessing.
2. They didn’t know - he was left alone for the holidays anyway.
3. They did know and just didn’t care, they didn’t want to spend Christmas with their son.

I don’t know, I’m obviously biased but it’s now fact that for whatever reason the Anderson’s didn’t mind Blaine being away from them for Christmas and that doesn’t sit to me as bad writing considering Puck and Jake’s mums were introduced, it strikes more as a concious choice maybe to remind us that in Blaine’s instance the complete absence of his parents means just as much as Puck’s outright problems with his father.
